Operating Modes (OM)

GTS – There is always a better way of Learning through Testing”

Learning through testing provides a unique learning experience for leaners. GTS operates in the following fantastic four modes:

1. Learning Mode

In Learning Mode, trainers and learners would be able to take help after every question about the correct or incorrect option(s). Learners would be able to ‘Mark a question’ for future reference or to ‘review a question’ at any time during the test. GTS will also suggest the correct answer along with its justification/explanation (if applicable). Questions will appear sequentially, whereas their options would be appearing in a random fashion. Virtually, there is no time constraint in this mode of GTS. Questions are of different types: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), True/False, identifying the correct answer etc.

2. Practice Mode

In Practice Mode, learners would be able to experience FREE practice tests. In practice mode, generally, tests follow standard testing mode i.e. test parameters and software features are pre-defined and cannot be customized as per user’s requirement(s). Learners would be able to take help after every question and they would also be able to ‘Mark a question’ for future reference or to ‘review a question’ at any time during the test. There are specific and limited number of tests designed for each main subject to give a flavor to learner about GTS’s strengths and its capabilities. Random questions and their options appearing in a random fashion coupled with time constraints further augment learning experience and also minimize the chances of cheating in live tests. Questions are of different types: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), True/False, identifying the correct answer etc.

3. Testing Mode

In Testing Mode, learners would be able to take test of their selected topic/area. In testing mode, GTS can be operated in the following two ways:

  • Standard Testing Solutions (STS)
  • Customized Testing Solutions (CTS)

There are various difficulty levels to test the competency, knowledge and concepts of the learners (for further details, please see Difficulty Levels-DLs of GTS). Random questions and their options appearing in a random fashion coupled with time constraints further augment learning experience and also minimize the chances of cheating in live tests. Questions are of different types: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), True/False, identifying the correct answer etc.

4. Validation Mode

In Validation Mode, subject specialists would be able to review a question, its options and explanations. All the questions, options and their explanations are being evaluated on frequently basis by various anonymous subject specialists so that they could ensure the quality of data uploaded on GTS. This is a continuous process and is part of organization’s robust Quality Assurance Mechanism (QAM).
